How the Stormwater Calculator is checked

We ran the calculator on a real Newark project that a licensed engineer had already modeled in HydroCAD, the software engineers use for these studies, and on worked examples published by the NRCS and the New Jersey soil erosion standards. The comparison runs in your browser when this page opens.

Technical details: every check and its reference value

Every number the calculator produces comes from js/stormwater-v3-engine.js, with reference data from stormwater-v3-data.php. Each row below compares the engine with a published value or with the engineer's model, and passes when the difference is within the stated tolerance.
