Green Stories LLC respects your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect it. We do not sell, share, or trade your personal information with any third party.
Data We Collect
We collect information through our project inquiry form. Here is exactly what we collect and why:

How We Collect It
Project inquiry data is collected at the time you submit the contact form. Email addresses for tool access and AnansiBuild downloads are collected only when you type one into the signup overlay and press submit. We do not track you across other websites. We do not use third-party analytics services (no Google Analytics, no Facebook Pixel, no tracking scripts). Contact-form behavioral and fingerprint data is collected by JavaScript running on the contact page only and is submitted with your form data — it is not collected on any other page of this site.
Tool Access & Download Email Signup
When you open a free building-code tool on this site or download the AnansiBuild Revit plugin, you see a one-time overlay asking for your email address. You can either submit it or click "No thanks, just continue" to skip. The overlay does not appear again afterwards — a single preference flag is stored in your browser (see Cookies below).
If you submit an email, it is sent to Kit (kit.com, operated by SparkLoop, Inc.; formerly ConvertKit) — our third-party email marketing service — and added to our subscriber list. We use the list only to send occasional announcements about new tools, significant updates, and Green Stories LLC news. The list is never sold, rented, or shared with any other third party.
You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of every email we send. Kit stores subscriber data on its own servers subject to its privacy policy, and may collect technical metadata (timestamp, IP address, referring page) at the moment of subscription as part of its standard service.
Skipping the overlay does not record any information about you.

We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking cookies, or any third-party cookies.
How We Store Your Data
Form submissions are stored in a database on our own web server. The database is not accessible via the web. No data is stored on third-party cloud services. Submission metadata (IP, fingerprint, behavioral scores) is stored alongside your form data in the same database for security auditing purposes.
Data Retention
Successful project inquiries are retained indefinitely as business records. Failed or blocked submissions (spam, bots, rate-limited attempts) are retained for 12 months for security auditing, then deleted.
Who Has Access
Only the principal of Green Stories LLC has access to submitted data. We do not share, sell, rent, or trade your information with any third party. We will disclose information only if required by law or court order.
Third-Party Services
Kit (kit.com) — email marketing service. Email addresses submitted through the tool-access or AnansiBuild download overlays are sent to Kit for list management and newsletter delivery. No other personal data is shared. See kit.com/privacy.
ip-api.com — geographic IP lookup used by the contact form to determine approximate location. Only your IP address is sent to this service — no other form data. See ip-api.com/docs/legal.
Google Fonts — this website loads typefaces from fonts.googleapis.com. Google may log font requests. See Google Fonts privacy FAQ.
No other third-party services are used.
Your Rights
You may request:
- A copy of any data we hold about you
- Correction of inaccurate data
- Deletion of your data
Submit requests through our Data Rights Request form or by mail to the address below. We will respond within 30 days.
Children's Privacy
This website is not directed at individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance.
